Love all my sisters".

Victoria Benavides #2

Victoria is from The Bay. South San Francisco to be exact. She received her degree in Psychology and Spanish in May of 2016. "There were various reasons behind my desire to bring a Latina sorority to USD. I identified specifically with APS because of their strong commitment to serving the community and fostering relationships. I was looking for a sisterhood and a niche. Through APS I was able to not only serve the community but also build my own within USD and greater San Diego."

Kendalle Chera #3

Kendalle is from the Bay Area. She graduated in Spring of 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry. "Initially, I was recruited by some friends. After attending some events, I realized the need for the organization to come to USD. I liked how the organization encouraged academic excellence and cultural awareness. This appealed to be because I am a first generation college student. As many of my line sisters would agree, we formed a really close bond. We support each other personally, academically and professionally. Finding a community as strong as this one is hard to find on a college campus. I wanted every woman to be able to experience this community for years to come, which is why I wanted to bring Alpha Pi Sigma to USD."

Yesenia Gamez-Valdez #4

Yesenia is from Tucson, Arizona. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science with a minor in English in May of 2016. "I wanted to bring APS to USD because I saw a need for a space where women of color like me could go and share their experience and feel like they are fully welcome."

Liset Godinez #5

Liset is from San Diego, California- Sherman Heights. She earned her B.A. in Spanish and her B.S. in International Business in May of 2015. "I struggled with finding community on campus. My first year I felt very lonely and detached from the college experience. I learned that in order to have a space for me I would have to make it. I wanted women like me to not go through what I went through. I wanted them to have a place to call home away from home. I wanted a place where women could empower and motivate each other to be the best they could be."

Crystal Ibarra #6

Crystal is from Riverside, California. She earned her B.A. in Political Science in May of 2016. "I wanted to establish an APS chapter at USD to help the University with its diversity, especially in Greek life. APS would bring down barriers and open a space for future cultural based greek organizations to open chapters at USD."

Melissa Robledo #10

Melissa is from Bishop, California. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Theology Studies in May of 2015.
